The Wynnfield Lakes Community Development District Staff continues to monitor local, state and federal communications, guidelines, recommendations and advisories regarding COVID-19.  In an effort to proactively minimize the risks, and consistent with federal, state and local guidelines, effective Wednesday, March 18th, the District is implementing the following facility and schedule changes that will be in effect until further notice:

  • The Fitness Center will be closed.
  • No Clubhouse Rentals
  • Issuing of new access cards.
  • Outdoor Amenities, including Park, Tennis & Pickleball Courts, and Swimming Pool remain open.  (The Splash Pool is currently being refurbished so it is not open)

Please understand that all outdoor amenities will be closed if residents are unable to adhere to Federal, State, and Local guidelines. We will continue to monitor how best to move forward in response to such policies. Further updates on the additional facility closings or reopening will be communicated to residents. 

Residents are urged to follow the social distancing protocols, avoiding group activities, and taking precautions to stay home if you are ill or been around anyone who is symptomatic or has been ill. We understand that closings are disruptive to the social activities you enjoy, but your safety and ours is the of the utmost importance and our main focus, therefore we thank you for your cooperation in the effort to keep you and the your families healthy and safe.  During this temporary closing, the Staff will continue its regular efforts to clean and sanitize all the facilities.

It is recommended that all residents and guests follow the basic infection prevention guidelines from the CDC including social distancing, and we urge you to wash your hands often, avoid contact with sick people, clean high-touch surfaces, and stay home when sick.

The Wynnfield Lakes Community Development District is a local, special purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and created by ordinance of the Duval County as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities. A CDD provides the “solution” to Florida’s need to provide valuable community infrastructure generated by growth, ultimately without overburdening other governments and their taxpaying residents. Community Development Districts represent a major advancement in Florida’s effort to manage its growth effectively and efficiently. This allows a developer to establish higher construction standards, meanwhile providing a long-term solution to the operation and maintenance of the community’s facilities.
